Welcome, and thank you for visiting. I’m Kelly Williams, the founder of KAW Therapy. My mission is to provide compassionate, culturally responsive therapy to individuals, couples, and families in California, with a special focus on supporting BIPOC communities. I created this space to amplify the diversity of human experiences and foster a safe, welcoming environment where you can explore your vulnerabilities and find healing

Having struggled to find a therapist who truly understood my identity as a Black woman, I’m passionate about creating a space that honors and celebrates the unique backgrounds and needs of all individuals. My goal is to offer a therapeutic experience that is as relatable and inclusive as it is effective.

Education & Approach

I hold a Master's in Counseling from San Diego State University and a Bachelor's in Psychology with an emphasis on Early Childhood Development from Arizona State University. With over 10 years of experience in mental health, I approach therapy with warmth, empathy, and a deep commitment to understanding the whole person. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges.

My approach is client-centered, focusing on building strong, trusting relationships to help clients feel supported and empowered. I believe in the power of active family collaboration, especially in cases involving children, and emphasize the importance of culturally sensitive, individualized care.
